High Season in Full Swing
It is January on the Osa Peninsula, and the high season is in full swing. It is sunny and hot, and tourists are flowing in.
The dry season is a good time to plan a lot of activities and you generally don’t have to worry about getting wet.
Great activities during the dry season include ocean and mangrove Kayaking, since the sea is flat and calm. Also snorkeling is currently great, since the ocean is a clearer. Hiking in Corcovado is a bit more comfortable if you don’t like getting wet and muddy. You may also enjoy chartering a sailboat or sport fishing boat, and exploring the Osa Peninsula from sea.
You may also just relax and kick back at one of the Osa Peninsula’s dream beaches, for example Playa Preciosa, Playa Backwash, or Playa Matapalo.
